So far, summer has been challenging.
An unexpected trip to visit family put me a little behind. Then an ill-advised game of backyard with teenage boys left me with a broken finger.

Ok, I'm a little over tired but I've had an incredibly productive day in a pretty productive month after a couple of really nonproductive month.

Today, (drum roll, please) I finally finished the first draft of my fantasy romance.

I figured today was a good day to update where my various projects stand.

Well, I finished the first draft of my Harry Potter fic for bigbangbuffet (at approx 75k, I thought I was never going to finish it).  I only have about 11k left to write on my original fic. I have the Numb3rs wolf-shifter fic for au_bigbang mostly plotted and ready to start writing as soon as the original fic is finished.I'm nearly caught up to where I want to be.  So, ( Read more... )

It’s a been a month since my last post, but I have a really good excuse this time.  I’ve been writing. For the month of January, I wrote 40,796 words between my Big Bang Buffet and my Orig fic.  I just have to write that again. 40,796.

It took me until the end of April last year to get to that number.

I cannot write short.  I. Can. Not.  As in, I think it might be physically impossible.  First there was my assigned Yuletide story which more than tripled my original estimation.

Late again.  This time my excuse is plumbing problems forced me to stay with family who have iffy wi-fi.  On the plus side, I got quite a bit of work down.

Currently, my bigbangbuffet fic is 5657 of what will probably be around 50k.

I am also about halfway through the first pass of revisions for my yuletide fic.  And yes, my revision process is nearly as detailed as my ( Read more... )
